#08 Decent Work and Economic Growth

Sustainable Development Goal 8, "Decent Work and Economic Growth," centers on promoting inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment, and decent work for all individuals. The goal encompasses efforts to create employment opportunities, improve labor rights and conditions, and foster entrepreneurship and innovation. SDG 8 emphasizes eradicating forced labor, human trafficking, and child labor while promoting safe working environments. By 2030, this goal aims to achieve full and productive employment and decent work for all women and men, including young people and persons with disabilities. With twelve targets and twenty-three indicators, SDG 8 monitors progress in areas such as labor productivity, youth unemployment, and social protection coverage. By supporting job creation, promoting labor rights, and implementing social protection policies, SDG 8 contributes to sustainable economic growth, poverty reduction, and social well-being.
